Colorado Avalanche Jerseys – Cheap Retro Avalanche Hockey Jersey
Based in Denver Colorado,
a professional ice hockey team
and members of the Northwest
Division of the Western
Conference of the National
Hockey League are the
Colorado Avalance. The team
was founded in 1972 as they
joined the World Hockey
Association carrying the
Quebec Nordiques team name
until they played with the
National Hockey League in
1979. From Quebec, the team
relocated to Colorado in 1995
and began to use the Colorado
Avalance as their hockey team
name. Their current home arena
is the Pepsi Center which is
located in Denver,
Colorado. The Avalance has a
now a total of eight division
championship and two
conference championship
titles. They have also won two
Stanley Cups over Florida
Panthers in 1995-1996 and New
Jersey Devils in
2000-2001. They are the only
team in NHL history to win the
Stanley Cup their first season
after a re-location, and only
the second team to win a
championship their first
season after a relocation in
any of the four major North
American sports leagues,
following the Washington
Redskins of the NFL. The team
colors are burgundy, navy blue
and white. And it has been
announced that the Avalanche
will introduce a new third jersey
for the 2009-10 season.
